Overview
This 30-minute case-based discussion led by Domonique Rice, Ph.D., IMFT-S focuses on the complex legal and systemic challenges surrounding youth alcohol use in rural communities. Through real-world scenarios, participants will explore the intersecting roles of juvenile justice and child welfare systems in addressing underage drinking and post-release care. The session emphasizes trauma-informed, developmentally appropriate, and family-systems strategies to support youth and families effectively.
This course is not eligible for credit.
The target audience for this intermediate-level activity includes: All types of healthcare professionals.
The AGCME Competencies include: Systems Based Practice, Interpersonal and Communication Skills and Patient Care.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion, learners will be able to:
